Newborn & Baby Photography

Lifestyle newborn and baby photography in the comfort of your home, or outdoors in a beautiful location

Tiny hands, chubby cheeks, dimpled bottoms, and sleepy eyes. Those first few weeks with your precious newborn baby will feel like a blur and it’s crazy to think that they will never ever be this small again.

This is the very beginning of your story, and I can help you document it. You might still be recovering from the birth, you’re definitely going to be sleep deprived, and maybe you’re still sitting on an ice pack. I’ve been there, I get it. A photoshoot might seem like the worst idea right now, but, trust me when I say you’ll regret not documenting those first few days with your new best friend.

There is nothing quite like the look that new parents give their bub in those early days. Each loving glance is a glorious moment that deserves to be captured. I can come and visit you in the comfort of your own home to seamlessly slip into your daily routine and capture those adorable yawns and loving glances.

My newborn photography style is relaxed and unposed. I don’t use props or pose your baby, rather I will make suggestions on how to hold him/her to get a variety of shots that will be cherished for years to come.

I love photographing families with babies of any age, however, to get those cute sleepy newborn photos we all know and love, our session would need to be in the first 3 weeks of bub being born. After this, as they “wake” up more, we probably won’t be able to get the sleepy ones, but we can get some super cute ones and they are usually more engaged and smiling by this stage too.

I also specialise in maternity photography and family photography in Sydney.

“Sophie is an incredible photographer, who captured very natural, beautiful moments of our little family. She was very professional, but also personable which made the session comfortable for all of us. Highly recommend! Thanks again, Sophie. We love our photos!”
